The Psagot Playgrounds Thomas L is a mid-size HDPE play train with an open area for sitting and playing, plus climbing, crawling, and pass-through sections. It is the left-side unit in the Thomas series, designed to work alone or pair with the Thomas R for a larger configuration. Holds 10 children, ages 2-5, with ASTM F1487 and IPEMA certifications. Fall height is 1 foot 11 inches.
BEST FOR: Parks and daycares that want a mid-size train structure for ages 2-5 with room to expand later. The Thomas L works on its own or connects with the Thomas R for a left-right configuration that doubles capacity.
The Thomas L sits between the Locomotive and the full Thomas in terms of size and capacity. It gives you 10-child capacity with climbing, crawling, and pass-through play, plus an open area where toddlers sit and interact. On its own, it is a solid mid-size train structure. Paired with the Thomas R, you get a complete left-right train that doubles the play space.
I like the modularity here — you can start with the Thomas L and add the R side when budget allows. The 1-foot-11-inch fall height keeps it safe for the youngest toddlers, and the HDPE panels are recycled, UV-resistant, and built for year-round outdoor use.
