The Playground Equipment Hexagon Single Column Fabric Shade 8 FT is a commercial shade structure with a hexagonal canopy on a single center post at 8-foot height. The lower canopy height delivers more concentrated shade directly beneath the structure. Works individually or in groups for flexible coverage.
BEST FOR: Smaller playgrounds, benches, and seating areas where the 8-foot height puts shade coverage closer to the people using the space. If the area is primarily for kids rather than adults, the lower height provides better proportional coverage.
The 8-foot version puts the hexagonal canopy closer to the ground, which gives you more concentrated shade directly beneath it. For dedicated seating areas or kid-focused zones, that closer coverage means less sunlight sneaking in at angles. Same single-post design that keeps the ground space completely open.
Like the 10-foot version, you can cluster multiple units together for broader coverage. The hexagonal shape tiles together more naturally than squares, so grouped installations look intentional rather than like a grid of umbrellas.
