The Psagot Playgrounds Square Frame Parent-Child Swing seats two riders face to face, swinging in the same direction at the same time. It is a different experience from side-by-side swings — you get eye contact, conversation, and shared motion all at once. I get asked about this swing a lot because the concept is so simple but the experience is different from anything else in a playground. Two people sit facing each other and swing together. That is it. But in practice, it creates this natural bonding moment — a parent and child making eye contact, laughing together, moving in sync. You do not get that from sitting side by side on separate swings.
The fall height is only 100 cm, which is much lower than a standard swing, so the motion is gentle. The square frame matches the rest of Psagot's modern swing line, and the galvanized powder-coated steel is rated for commercial use. I have put these in family parks, preschool playgrounds, and community centers where the emphasis is on togetherness over thrill.
