What catches my attention about the Hartford is the capacity-to-footprint ratio. The designers achieved this by building vertically — high towers connected by bridges and closed tunnels create play pathways stacked above each other rather than spread across the ground.
The mix of enclosed tunnels and open bridge crossings gives kids variety as they move between towers. I also appreciate that the open slides serve the younger end of the 5-12 range, so a six-year-old doesn't have to commit to a tall enclosed slide before they're ready. Steel post construction handles the structural loads that come with tall, interconnected towers at this capacity.
