The Psagot Playgrounds Climbing Rocks A is a cluster of six interconnected geometric boulders, each built from 12 colorful pentagonal HDPE panels with climbing holds in different configurations. More boulders means more routes and more transitions between shapes. It holds 66 kids ages 5-12 and is ASTM F1487 and IPEMA certified.
BEST FOR: Large parks and playgrounds that want a dedicated bouldering structure where kids can progress through difficulty levels on their own. If you are planning a fitness-focused or climbing-focused play area for 5-12 year olds, six boulders give you enough surface for a crowd.
What sets the Climbing Rocks A apart from a standard climbing wall is the variety. Six boulders, each with a different hold configuration, so kids naturally progress from easier faces to harder ones without anyone telling them to. They figure out their own skill level and work up from there. That kind of self-directed challenge is hard to engineer, and this design does it through geometry.
At 66-kid capacity on a compact 23-foot footprint, you get a lot of climbing surface without eating up your entire site. I like this for parks that already have slides and swings and need something that fills the climbing gap. The HDPE panels are recycled material, UV resistant, and the holds are integrated into the panels so there is nothing to come loose over time.
