The Square Portable Picnic Table with Perforated Steel is built for sites where you need to rearrange furniture depending on the event or the season. The legs are not permanently anchored, so you can pick it up and move it wherever it needs to go. I sell a lot of portable tables to pavilions and event venues, and the reason is simple -- sometimes you need four tables pushed together for a big group, and sometimes you need them spread out across a lawn. Permanent in-ground tables do not give you that flexibility. This one does.
The perforated steel surface is the same commercial-grade material we use on our fixed-mount tables. Thermoplastic coating protects against weather and vandalism, and the perforations let water drain through so you are not flipping tables to dump puddles off. That said, portable means portable -- if theft is a concern at your site, you may want to consider the in-ground pedestal version or add a cable lock.
