The Playground Equipment Single Vaulting Bar is a straightforward outdoor fitness piece for children ages 5-12. One steel bar at the right height lets kids practice vaults, handstands, swinging, and other acrobatic movements that build coordination and upper-body strength. Holds 2-4 kids, with a 42" fall height and use zone of 12' 3" x 24' 4". Meets ASTM F1487 and CPSC #325 safety standards.
BEST FOR: I'd recommend the Single Vaulting Bar for playgrounds where you want a simple, low-profile piece that gets a lot of use. Kids gravitate toward it because the movements -- vaulting over, swinging around, hanging upside down -- feel like play. Great for PE circuits, recess areas, or as an add-on to an existing playground.
Sometimes the simplest equipment gets the most use, and the vaulting bar is a good example. One horizontal bar, proper height for elementary-age kids, and suddenly you have a piece that supports a dozen different movements -- vaults, swings, handstands, leg lifts, and whatever else kids invent. The 42" fall height keeps it manageable from a surfacing standpoint, and the long use zone means multiple kids can spread out along the bar.
The bar itself is powder-coated steel with a rubberized grip surface. Posts are ground-mounted for stability. This is one of those pieces I suggest to schools that want to start a fitness area without a huge budget -- it is affordable, takes up minimal space, and kids use it constantly.
