BEST FOR: I'd recommend the Bones Tunnel for playgrounds that want something different from a standard crawl tunnel. The slatted design is a conversation starter, and kids who avoid enclosed tunnels will often try this one because they can see through the sides.
The Playground Equipment Free Standing Bones Tunnel is not your typical crawl tunnel, and that is the point. The slatted design creates a pattern of light and shadow inside that changes throughout the day. Kids crawl through it, but they also sit inside it, peek through the gaps, and use it as a hideout that is not fully hidden. The open construction means parents and supervisors can always see the children inside, which I hear is a priority for a lot of the schools and daycare centers we work with.
At just 6" off the ground, this is about as low-risk as playground equipment gets. The use zone is 16' 2" by 19' 9", so you need some room, but the visual impact is worth the footprint.
