An enclosed passage dogs duck through and come out the other side — one of the standard obstacles on any agility course.
The cutouts along both sides are the reason this one works better than a plain tube. They let light in, so a dog can see through rather than into a dark hole, and they let the dog see its handler the whole way. Nervous dogs will go through a tunnel they can see out of. They will not go through one they cannot.
It also throws shade, which on an open site in August is the only shaded spot a dog will find.
BEST FOR: Parks building a full agility course, and any site with timid or first-time dogs.
