Playground Equipment Casa Grande

Four slides come off the Playground Equipment Casa Grande, and three of them launch side by side from a triple slide deck. In the parts list that's a 4-foot left turn slide, 6-foot left and right turn slides, and a 6-foot straight slide.

It's a 2-12 structure for 22 to 27 kids, with a 72-inch fall height.

Is the Playground Equipment Casa Grande ADA accessible?

The structure lists 6 elevated and 4 ground-level accessible play components, with an ADA transfer deck, a transfer step and a 4-foot transfer stair. A child using a wheelchair can move from the chair onto the transfer deck and work up from there. Ground-level components are the ones kids can play with right from the surfacing.

The equipment is only half of it, though. If the surfacing is loose enough that a wheelchair can't roll across it, a kid never makes it to the transfer deck in the first place. The route in and the surfacing matter just as much as the structure does.

Past the slides, there's a 24-inch funnel tube bridge between the towers, plus a store panel, a world map panel, a bench panel, a bongo and a ship's wheel.

What you give up is space. This one's use zone is 26' 9" × 39' 5", close in width to the Playground Equipment Gold Canyon at 25' 3" × 30' 9" but a lot longer. The manufacturer's dimensions are marked estimated, so I'd recommend confirming the layout against your actual site before ordering. If the length won't work, the Gold Canyon holds 18 to 23 kids at a 48-inch fall height.
