The Psagot Playgrounds Chandelier is a group seesaw built from Robinia wood with four rope-connected seats balanced around a central point. When all four kids are riding, they have to coordinate their shifting weight to keep the motion going — it is part seesaw, part teamwork exercise. It handles up to 4 children ages 5 to 12.
BEST FOR: If you want a piece of equipment that forces kids to work together instead of playing solo, the Chandelier is one of the best options I carry. It fits 4 riders ages 5 to 12, and the motion only works well when they communicate and coordinate.
A regular seesaw is two kids going up and down. The Chandelier adds two more seats and ropes into the equation, which changes the whole dynamic. Four kids have to figure out who leans when, who shifts their weight, and how to keep the rhythm going without tipping too far in one direction. I have watched groups of kids on these — they start out chaotic and within a few minutes they are talking to each other, counting together, and finding a groove. That is hard to engineer on a playground, and the Chandelier does it naturally.
From a practical standpoint, Robinia wood means you get a piece that holds up outdoors without chemical preservatives. The ropes are durable and the seats are individual, so each rider has their own perch. It looks good in parks, schoolyards, and green spaces. Even when only one or two kids use it, the multi-point balance still gives them a challenge.
