The Missouri is a 3-meter tall honeycomb climbing structure made of HDPE hexagonal modules with an integrated slide. What I like about the design is how the hollow hexagonal cubes create climbing from both the inside and the outside — kids move through openings, climb over the top, and explore the interior spaces. It holds 48 children at once on a compact 29-foot footprint, which is strong play density for the space. Ages 5-12, ASTM F1487 and IPEMA certified.
BEST FOR: Parks that want high-capacity climbing and exploration play in a moderate footprint. If you have 30 feet to work with and need to keep close to 50 kids engaged, the honeycomb layout packs more routes and hiding spots into that space than most structures this size. Ages 5-12.
The honeycomb layout is what makes the Missouri unique in our catalog. Each hexagonal module has openings on multiple faces, so there are dozens of ways to enter, exit, and move between modules. Kids treat the interior spaces as hideouts and the exterior faces as climbing walls, which means you get two types of play — climbing and imaginative — from a single structure. I have noticed that kids who are not drawn to traditional climbing still engage with the Missouri because the interior spaces feel like forts and tunnels.
The integrated slide gives climbers a fast way down from the top, which keeps traffic flowing rather than bottlenecking at the peak. HDPE panels from recycled materials handle UV and wear, and the hex module design means individual panels can be replaced if one gets damaged rather than requiring a full structural repair.
