The Playground Equipment Hexagon Fabric Shade 8 FT is a commercial hexagonal shade structure with a central steel post at 8-foot height. The lower profile keeps shade coverage concentrated directly beneath the canopy. Same carousel-style design and commercial-grade materials as the taller versions.
BEST FOR: Smaller play areas, sandboxes, and dedicated seating zones where the 8-foot canopy height provides the most effective shade concentration. If the shade primarily serves seated adults or children at ground level, the lower height delivers more coverage where it counts.
The 8-foot hexagonal shade puts the canopy as close to the ground as this design allows, which gives you the most concentrated shade coverage of the three height options. For sandboxes, toddler areas, or benches where everyone is seated or close to the ground, this is the one I'd pick. Less sun sneaks in at angles when the canopy is lower.
You still get the same carousel-style look, the same powder-coated steel, and the same UV-blocking, fire retardant, mold resistant fabric. The only difference from the taller versions is the entrance height.
