The Filbert Frog Fun Bounce is a spring rider shaped like a big green frog, designed for the 2-to-5 age group. One child sits on Filbert, grabs the handles, and bounces — simple as that. It has a 26-inch fall height, so it stays low to the ground, and the use zone runs 13 feet 4 inches by 14 feet 9 inches. Meets ASTM F1487 and CPSC #325 safety standards.
BEST FOR: Preschools, daycare playgrounds, and tot lots that want a single-rider spring bouncer with a fun animal theme. If you have a smaller open area in your playground and need something that keeps a 3- or 4-year-old entertained without taking up a lot of space, this fits the bill.
I like the Filbert Frog for preschool-age playgrounds because it is straightforward — one kid, one frog, lots of bouncing. The frog shape gives it a character that little kids latch onto, and at 26 inches of fall height, parents and teachers tend to feel comfortable letting toddlers hop on.
The construction is powder-coated steel with polyethylene panels, which means it holds up outdoors season after season. We install these as standalone pieces or as part of a larger playground layout, and they work well either way.
