The Dog Crawl Tunnel is a low-profile enclosed tunnel that challenges dogs to duck down and move through a confined space. It adds variety to an agility course beyond the usual jumps and weaves, and most dogs take to it quickly once they realize there is a clear path through. The enclosed design builds confidence in hesitant dogs while giving bolder ones a speed challenge. Built from powder-coated steel with a rust-resistant finish for permanent outdoor installation.
BEST FOR: Dog parks building out agility courses, K-9 training programs, and pet recreation areas looking for obstacles that develop confidence and obedience in dogs.
The Dog Crawl Tunnel brings something different to an agility course. While hurdles and weave poles test jumping and lateral movement, the tunnel works on a dog's willingness to enter an enclosed space and navigate through it. That is a different kind of confidence-building, and I have seen plenty of dogs that struggle with tunnels at first but love them after a few runs. The open-ended design means dogs can always see the exit, which helps with that initial hesitation.
From a durability standpoint, the enclosed steel construction holds up well against dogs scratching and pawing their way through. The powder-coat finish resists rust and corrosion, so this is a piece you install once and leave in place for years. We typically position tunnels in the middle or end of an agility circuit, where dogs are already warmed up and ready for a different kind of challenge.
