The Psagot Playgrounds Snake Balance Beam is a winding metal balance course that changes height and angle along its path. Kids walk, hop, run, and jump along the serpentine route, and because the surface keeps shifting under them, they are constantly adjusting their balance. Fall height is 1'-9" (55 cm), holds 6 users at once. Galvanized powder-coated steel, ages 5-12.
BEST FOR: For obstacle courses and ninja-style play areas where you want a balance challenge that goes well beyond a straight beam. The 6-user capacity keeps traffic moving, and the low fall height makes it accessible for the full 5-12 age range.
A straight balance beam gets boring after a few trips. This one never does, because the path winds and changes height and angle the whole way. Kids have to adjust their foot placement, shift their weight, and change speed constantly — it is a different challenge every few steps. I have watched kids who can sprint across a flat beam slow to a cautious walk on the curved sections of this one.
At 6 users simultaneously, it handles groups well, which matters for schools and busy parks. The 55 cm fall height keeps it in the low-risk category, so it works for confident 5-year-olds all the way up to 12-year-olds who want to try running the whole thing.
