Playground Equipment Double Parallel Bar Ladder is a freestanding overhead climber for ages 5-12 with two long continuous bars instead of traditional rungs. Kids grip and slide along the bars at whatever pace suits them -- no fixed rung spacing means no gap that feels out of reach. Holds 5-10 children with a 96" fall height and a 19' 11" x 16' use zone. Meets ASTM F1487 and CPSC #325 safety standards.
BEST FOR: I'd recommend the Double Parallel Bar Ladder for sites that want an overhead climber accessible to a range of ability levels. Smaller kids can inch along carefully while stronger kids can take long swings. Having two bars side by side gives children better stability compared to the single-bar version.
The double parallel bar design solves a common problem with traditional monkey bars: kids who can't reach the next rung get stuck and drop. With continuous bars, children slide their hands forward at their own pace. Two bars also means they can grip one in each hand for added stability, or use a hand-over-hand technique on a single bar. It is a more inclusive design that still provides a solid upper-body workout.
