Playground Equipment Single Parallel Bar Ladder is a freestanding overhead climber for ages 5-12 that rethinks the traditional monkey bar design. Instead of separate rungs, kids grip a single continuous bar that runs the length of the structure, letting them slide their hands forward at their own pace. Holds 5-10 children with a 96" fall height and a 19' 11" x 16' use zone. Meets ASTM F1487 and CPSC #325 safety standards.
BEST FOR: I'd recommend the Single Parallel Bar Ladder for schools and parks looking for an upper-body challenge that kids of different skill levels can handle. Since there are no fixed rungs, younger or less confident children can inch along while stronger kids can take big swings forward.
What makes this different from a standard monkey bar set is the single continuous bar. Kids grip it and slide forward at whatever pace feels comfortable, so you don't get the frustration of a child who can't quite reach the next rung. It still builds upper-body and grip strength -- arguably more so, since there is no resting point between rungs.
