The Psagot Playgrounds Mount Washington is a stepping-challenge balance beam built around a 4-inch galvanized steel pipe with foot-shaped HDPE boards attached along its length. Kids step from board to board, walk the central pipe, or practice jumping on and off. It develops balance, coordination, and leg strength for children ages 2-5, and handles up to 7 kids at a time.

What makes the Mount Washington interesting is those foot-shaped stepping boards. They give toddlers a visual target — place your foot right here — which turns a basic balance beam into a motor-planning exercise. Kids have to look ahead, judge the distance, and place each step deliberately. That is a more complex skill than just walking a straight line, and it shows up in their coordination development over time.
The 4-inch steel pipe core is wide enough to walk on directly, so there are multiple ways to use this structure.
