The 22-Foot Single Straight Embankment Slide is built for sites that have a moderate hillside and want to turn it into a play feature. It runs 22 feet down a slope, staying close to the ground the whole way, so you get a real slide experience without the elevated platform and tower that most commercial slides require. Fall height is 40 inches, and it fits a use zone of about 14 ft 8 in by 9 ft. If you've got a hill near your playground, this is one of the simplest ways to make it part of the action.
BEST FOR: Schools, parks, and HOA playgrounds with a hillside that needs a purpose. This works well as a standalone feature next to an existing play structure, or as the main attraction for a nature-style playground. If your hill is too short for the 75-footer but steep enough to generate some speed, the 22-foot model hits a good middle ground.
I recommend embankment slides when a site has natural terrain that makes sense to work with. Instead of grading the hill flat and plopping a play structure on top, you can integrate the slope into the playground design. The 22-foot version gives kids a solid ride without needing a massive hillside -- a moderate grade is enough to make it work.
Construction is straightforward: powder-coated steel supports with a polyethylene slide bed that resists UV fading and doesn't heat up the way metal would.
