The Pixel Funnel Climber combines plastic pixel climber walls with metal bars to create a funnel-shaped climbing structure. It is one of the more unusual pieces in the Pixel series — part climbing wall, part bar climber. Designed for ages 5-12, capacity 5-10 kids, with a 96-inch fall height and a 27-foot-6-inch square use zone. Meets ASTM F1487 and CPSC #325 safety standards.
BEST FOR: Parks and schools looking for a climbing structure that breaks the mold. If your playground already has standard climbing walls and you want something that looks and plays differently, the funnel shape and mixed climbing surfaces set this one apart. The 27-foot-6-inch square use zone means you need a good amount of space.
The Pixel Funnel Climber is the most distinctive piece in the Pixel lineup. It is not just a flat wall — the funnel shape means kids are climbing at changing angles as they move up, and the mix of pixel block grips and metal bars gives them two different types of climbing surfaces to work with. I find that variety keeps older kids coming back to it.
Here is the thing to keep in mind: the use zone is 27 feet 6 inches square, so this structure needs a lot of open space around it. At 96 inches of fall height, you are looking at proper surfacing requirements too. But if you have the room, it is one of the most visually striking pieces we install.
