The Playground Equipment Craggy Knob is a compact climbing structure for children ages 5-12, made up of two Craggy Climber Straight Sections and two Craggy Mountain Climber Ends. It adds a focused climbing element to existing playgrounds without requiring a large space commitment. Fall height is 96" with a use zone of 13' 2" x 31' 10". Meets ASTM F1487 and CPSC #325 safety standards.
BEST FOR: I'd recommend the Craggy Knob as an add-on to an existing playground that needs more climbing. It is the entry point of the Craggy series -- simple, straightforward, and different enough from standard climbers to give kids something new. The long, narrow footprint tucks along fence lines or playground edges.
The Craggy Knob is the simplest structure in the Craggy series, and that is part of its appeal. Two straight climbing wall sections bookended by two Mountain Climber Ends give kids a different climbing experience from the standard ladder-and-platform setup on most playgrounds. The rock wall texture and molded holds challenge kids to find their own routes, which keeps them coming back. If your playground already has slides and swings but no dedicated climbing wall, this fills that gap.
At only 13' 2" wide, this is one of the narrowest Craggy structures, so it fits along fence lines or the perimeter of existing playgrounds. The 32' length gives kids plenty of climbing surface despite the narrow width. Same powder-coated steel and polyethylene construction as the rest of the Craggy line.
