The Psagot Playgrounds Merlin is a Robinia wood play system with multiple towers, bridges, and a range of climbing elements that create a challenging course for ages 5 to 12. The Merlin is the kind of structure where kids come back and try a different route each time. The towers, bridges, and climbing elements connect in a way that creates multiple paths through the system, and the varied difficulty means a first-grader and a sixth-grader can both find something that pushes them. I have seen kids spend 20 minutes just working out which path they want to take next.
One thing worth noting is the 6-foot-8-inch fall height. For a structure this complex, that is moderate -- it keeps the play challenging without pushing into the higher fall height category. With 47-child capacity on a 48-foot footprint, the Merlin uses its space well. Natural Robinia wood needs minimal upkeep and ages into that silver-gray tone that looks right in a wooded park.
