Playground Equipment 90-Degree Swinging Ring Ladder is a freestanding overhead climber for ages 5-12 with eight freely swinging ring grips on an angular path. Two 45-degree bends in the beam create a 90-degree turn that forces kids to adjust their swing direction mid-crossing. Holds 5-10 children with a 96" fall height and a 20' 3" x 20' 3" use zone. Meets ASTM F1487 and CPSC #325 safety standards.
BEST FOR: I'd recommend the 90-Degree Swinging Ring Ladder for playgrounds that want a ring climber with more challenge than a straight version. The angular path means kids cannot just build momentum in one direction -- they have to change course at the bend, which takes real coordination.
Swinging rings on a straight path are challenging enough. Adding two 45-degree bends raises the difficulty because kids have to redirect their momentum at the turns. The eight ring grips swing freely on their mounts, so children need grip strength and timing to keep moving through the angular sections. This is a piece that older, more athletic kids gravitate toward.
