The 4 Foot Double Straight Embankment Slide puts two side-by-side slide chutes into a single hillside, so two kids can race down at the same time. It installs directly into the slope — no stairs, no ladder, no separate play structure required. Rated for ages 2-12, with a 48-inch fall height and a use zone of 16 feet 4 inches wide by 7 feet long. Meets ASTM F1487 and CPSC #325 safety standards.
BEST FOR: Schools, parks, and rec areas with a hill and enough traffic that one slide lane creates a bottleneck. The double lane keeps the line moving and gives kids the option to slide alongside a friend, which they tend to prefer.
The double lane is the reason I suggest this over the single version when the site has enough kids to justify it. Two chutes side by side means two kids can slide at once, which cuts wait times in half at busy parks and schools. And because kids can go down together, you get the social element — racing a friend down a hill is more fun than going solo.
Like all the embankment slides, this one goes right into the hillside. No ladder, no platform, no extra structure. The hill provides the elevation, and the slide provides the ride. Construction is the same commercial-grade setup: polyethylene chutes and powder-coated steel posts. The use zone is a bit wider than the single version at 16 feet 4 inches, so factor that into your site planning.
CAPACITY: 2 Kids, ages 2-12 Years.
USE ZONE: 16' 4"W x 7' 0"L — plan your site layout accordingly.
FALL HEIGHT: 48". Requires appropriate safety surfacing.
MATERIALS: Powder-coated steel posts with polyethylene plastic components.
CERTIFICATIONS: ASTM F1487 and CPSC Guidelines #325 compliant.
