The 3 Foot Single Straight Embankment Slide is the lowest-profile option in the embankment slide line, and it is about as safe as a slide gets. At just 3 feet high and mounted directly into the hillside, kids are never far off the ground. Rated for ages 2-12, with a 40-inch fall height and a use zone of 14 feet 6 inches wide by 13 feet long. Meets ASTM F1487 and CPSC #325 safety standards.
BEST FOR: Preschools, daycare centers, and toddler play areas where safety is the top concern. Also a solid choice for smaller hills where a taller embankment slide would not work. Parents of younger kids tend to be most comfortable with this height.
When parents ask me about the safest slide option, embankment slides are always the first thing I mention — and this 3-foot version is the most conservative of the bunch. The slide sits right along the ground, so kids are never more than a few feet above the surface. That makes a big difference for parents watching toddlers and preschoolers play.
