The Psagot Playgrounds Square Frame Bird's Nest Swing puts a rope nest seat on a modern square frame, and it holds up to 5 kids at once. Children can sit, lie down, or stand on the nest while swinging — it is one of the most flexible pieces in any swing bay. Ages 5-12, galvanized powder-coated steel frame.
BEST FOR: If you want a group swing that also doubles as an inclusive play element, the bird's nest is hard to beat. It accommodates different body positions and abilities, and with 5-kid capacity, it handles the social side of play well.
Bird's nest swings are consistently the most popular station in playgrounds I have worked on. Kids pile in together, negotiate who sits where, and figure out how to get the thing swinging as a group — there is a lot of social development happening alongside the physical play. This version sits on a square frame that matches Psagot's modern swing line, so it looks cohesive next to their other square-frame models.
The rope nest seat is what makes it inclusive without needing a special designation. A child who needs to lie down can lie down. A child who wants to stand and balance can do that. Five kids with completely different comfort levels can share the same swing at the same time. The galvanized powder-coated steel frame is built for commercial use, and the 5-kid capacity means it earns its footprint in any playground layout.
